(as Matthew W put it) and that is in deed the truth, which is why this blog hence forward shall serve as the evil twin blog of this one, which is my nicer perspective on Iceland & it’s inhabitants… [And in english for the benefit of my co-suffering foreigners here in Winter World]
Iceland is very small – put everything in Iceland is the best in the world [relative to the number of inhabitants] a phrase used every third second or so somewhere in Iceland. And that means that every cultural event (just an ex.) is marketed (also in the mouth-to-mouth-version) as brilliant, amazing & fantastic… Which, I must admit, they are. – compared to sitting on a lavastone staring at the wind.
